Review of the Hiearcool 7-in-1 USB-C Adapter: An All-Day Plug and Play
You won't require
another USB-C adapter after this one!
ESSENTIAL NOTES
• The Hiearcool 7-in-1
USB-C Adapter is a handy plug-and-play device that is small, stylish, and portable.
• The adapter is
simple to use—just plug it in—and it functions perfectly with Mac Books,
offering an LED indicator and instant connection.
• In addition to
offering fast and dependable media transfer and support for 4K HDMI output, the
adapter also has USB-A ports and an SD card slot for added functionality.
I don't usually recommend plain old USB hubs, but the Hiearcool 7-in-1 USB-C Adapter is among the greatest plug-and-play devices I've ever bought. It is easy to travel with, has seven convenient connections, and requires very little thought to operate.
Look at Amazon's design is sleek and small, but it could be improved.
Comparable in size to a pocket knife, the Hiearcool 7-to-1 USB-C Adapter is equally portable and effortless to carry around. The sleek aluminum alloy casting and the matte shell prevent smudges and fingerprints from adhering to the accessory. There are other color options as well, but I chose silver to go with the Mac Books in my apartment. The actual USB-C connection is fixed to one end of the adapter, and it's actually a part of the Hiearcool that I'm not the biggest fan of. The wire itself isn't very flexible, it can't be removed from the adapter chassis, and the lead is only about 1.5 feet long. No, it's not the end of the world that it's not made out of a longer-sized bungee material, but this would have been cool. On the right side of the device is the primary bank of ports, and the Hiearcool's 4K HDMI output is situated at the other end of the adapter.
These consist of two USB-A ports, an SD card slot, a TF card slot, and a PD 100W USB-C port. An Ethernet port is also included in higher-end models of this Hiearcool adaptor, but it is absent from this particular model. Additionally, the Hiearcool has no silicone padding, so use caution when placing the adapter on hard surfaces like desks and tables as it may leave some scratches behind.
Hiearcool USB-C Adapter Usage: Almost As Simple as It Gets
In today's world of consumer technology, even the most basic devices frequently require the download of an app in order to function. Since we're all accustomed to it by now, it's always a blessing when something simply requires plugging in order to function. With the Hiearcool USB-C Adapter, this is the case. My girlfriend and I utilized the adapter for our Mac Book Pro models (2020 and 2016), and it worked immediately after we connected it to a Thunderbolt port on the computer. How do you verify that the adapter is operational? An LED indicator is present on the
We first bought the Hiearcool so we could play "Tiny Tons"
on our Sega Genesis emulator without experiencing any lag. In this regard, the
adapter functions perfectly. I connected the Hiearcool to my Samsung TV using a
4K-rated Insignia HDMI cable because the HDMI output supports 4K at up to 30
frames per second. My 4K TV now had the 8-bit delight of "Tiny Tons"
without any lag, and the PS4 controller I had mapped to the emulator functioned
flawlessly as well. However, since most people aren't purchasing a USB-C
adapter to relive their favorite video games from the 1990s, what about better
content?
I played through multiple 4K demo clips from YouTube while the Hiearcool was connected to my Mac Book Pro and an HDMI cord was plugged into my TV. Every vignette appeared as stunning as if it was being streamed straight from the YouTube app on the TV. For those of us who have 4K movies and images stored on our computers, this is especially welcome news. Even though Airplay, Airdrop, and Chromecast are incredibly convenient, it's good to know that the Hiearcool offers a dependable and speedy A-to-B media transfer option.
The standard USB ports and SD card slot on the Hiearcool have also worked well for me. .. Even if all of your device's ports are in use, you can still charge your Mac Book or iPod with the PD-certified USB-C adapter because it can provide up to 100W of power. I've even used the two 5Gbps USB-A ports to power my Scarlet 2i2 recording interface in addition to using them to transfer files to a USB thumb drive. The SD/TF card slots are also functional. We brought our Canon T7 DSLR to Walt Disney World recently, and the Hiearcool made it easy to transfer our images and videos at the end of each day spent at the parks.
However, if speed of transfer is your top priority, the Hiearcool's USB-A ports and SD/TF card slots might be a little too sluggish for a graphic designer or video editor of experience. However, I believe that the majority of people will find the adapter's throughput satisfactory.
Is the Hiearcool 7-in-1 USB-C Adapter a Good Buy?
One of the best Mac Book accessories I've ever bought is the Hiearcool 7-in-1 USB-C Adapter, and at less than $30, getting one of these devices is practically a no-brainer. Although the adapter could use a few adjustments to make it flawless, I have no problems using it as is.
